All of Us provided animation and led art direction for Lil Nas X’s appearances at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2019 and 2021.

In 2019, Lil Nas X made his debut VMA performance. The visual world we created placed him within a futuristic cityscape. This immersive environment was designed to amplify the scale, confidence, and cultural impact of the moment, giving the performance a distinct and unmistakable identity.

In 2021, we returned to develop scenic and environmental visual content for his now-iconic performance of “Industry Baby,” featuring a guest appearance by Jack Harlow. The visuals supported the energy of the performance while grounding it in a bold, architectural world that moved seamlessly between spectacle and storytelling.

Both projects were led by Strangeloop Studios on behalf of MTV.
